During my morning musings on New York Times I came across an article about a woman, Alice Waters, who is at the forefront of a campaign to urge the Obamas to "set an example for the nation on culinary issues like the naming of a White House chef and growing organic vegetables in the White House garden. "I find Ms. Walter's campaign to be intriguing and worthwhile. So many people look up to the Obamas and they can set a great example for millions of people whose diets are poor. Afterall, 34% of Americans are considered to be obese and 32.7% are considered overweight!
I am convinced that everybody, regardless of their economic status, can eat healthy. It's going to take education and what a better place to start educating than the White House?
